You can now connect to the Pender Island Community Network Blog on your mobile phone. The website now fully supports mobile smart phones such as the iPhone, Blackberry and Android. The website will automatically recognize your mobile device and redirect you to a streamlined version of the site designed for quick loading on mobile phones. This is probably great news considering you barely get cell reception on Pender and even if you did you probably cannot afford to use data services because Canadian telecommunications services are the most expensive on the planet (thank you Telus and Rogers!). But if you do find yourself out and about and want to post a quick message or photo, you can now do so via your mobile device.
Some stunning new aerial photographs of Pender Island have been posted over at The Gulf Islands Guide by photographer Kevin Oke.
